Each month we will share the latest OkCupid questions and answers, and see what’s on the minds of our millions and millions of dating sites around the world. And so far, our matching questions have been answered 365 million times this year! Our newest questions cover everything from the upcoming elections in Germany to the breaking of the biggest dating deals in India, to thoughts of steaming sex in Israel to how British singles prefer their tea.
What we ask:

What you say in Germany:
- Almost 9 out of 10 German dates (87%) think it is important to vote in September
- More than half (56%) of German dates expect their partner to vote in September, and 17% of people will be disappointed if their partner does not vote
- German dating is mainly interested in climate change (49%) followed by equal opportunity (24%), education and digitization (20%) and lower rents (7%).
- 39% of German respondents OkCupid support Annalena Barbock for the position of Chancellor while 4% vote for Olaf Schultz, 3% are behind Armin Lasht and 53% are undecided
- 92% of German respondents OkCupid think we will need to prepare for more extreme weather in the future

What you say in India:
- 83% of OkCupid dating in India expect to meet games in person
- 75% of OkCupid Indian dates talked about common interests to initiate a conversation with a matchmaker while 6% discussed post-epidemic programs and 5% indicated vaccine status (14% used other topics to spark a conversation)
- When asked if the epidemic gave them more time to explore options to find their type, 46% of Indians on OkCupid said the past year has definitely given them more time to understand a person
- 78% of OkCupid Indian dates are open to dating a person of another nationality or religion; 11% said they are only open to dating someone of a different nationality, while 5% said they are only open to dating someone of a different religion

What you say in Israel:
- Most Israeli dating OkCupid (62%) are worried about another wave of Covid-19 in Israel
- 67% of OkCupid dates in Israel are satisfied with the new government
- 35% of Israelis said cold fresh fruit is the best summer food while 20% said popsicle or ice cream, 15% said smoothie and 30% said good with any food
- 96% of OkCupid’s dates in Israel are not sexy in the summer when it’s really hot outside, with 36% of these people looking to do it with the air conditioner on, 34% of these people saying they’re going to sweat regardless, and 26% finding it even hotter

What you say in the UK:
- 55% of British dates on OkCupid said hot water first compared to 14% who said milk first (30% said they preferred coffee)
- Nearly 7 out of 10 British singles have said Gregs and their one true love, the sausage roll
- 64% of British OkCupid users said they would book a table in advance, 18% would try their luck at the entrance, 15% would cancel the pub altogether, and 4% would frantically search for a reservation for that day
- More than half (53%) of British singles on OkCupid said “Damn, yes, I’m going to get the 2-4-1 cocktail pitcher deal.”
